The map provided displays a nominal raster image displaying different land cover types in a small swath of the Olympic Mountains in Washington, United States. I used the Inquire Box function to isolate a small area from a larger thematic raster image of land use in this mountain range. I then isolated the geometric area for each land use type by adding an area field for the subset in the newly extracted image. The map also shows a general location inset of where the subset resides in the overall mountain range.
